After just a few days of DeepCore1 being launched, I have totally redone the layout. I hope you like it. Feel free to post your feedback in comments, and we'll see where we can make more improvements. --{12 Sight} The above symbol/number designation is a tether. It references the diagram to the left of our messages. It is a way to illustrate the conveyance of information through a visualization of where it may be tied physically to our spaceman. He is an explorer of the mind. Feel free to make your own Tether to your mind/spaceman.

Some have noted that the site looks different using different browsers. I apologize for this, I'm still working on my html coding skills.
As far as optimal performance, try using IE 6.0. It works well for me, as I am viewing it with this version.

Part of my idea for tethers is influenced from Slashdot, http://www.slashdot.org and the way they have general icons representing the kind of "news" being displayed. If it's Microsoft, you'll see a lovely Bill Gates Borg head, or a giant wireless tower to represent communications/wifi related tidbits. What I find potentially interesting and useful with tethers, is simply two things. 1. It is fun and neat to see what people come up with using the different areas of the space suit to relate their stories and information, 2. I may use these tethers to build a database that could be used to organize the information collected and gathered here. Thoughts? |
